UVA, MSU offer Georgia QB

Tucker (Ga.) quarterback D.T. McDowell has picked up a pair of new scholarships heading into the summer.
“Virginia and Mississippi State are the newest ones,” he said. “I had offers from Auburn and LSU before that. I’m getting a lot of calls from Auburn, LSU, Virginia, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Florida, Florida State and Alabama. Those are the main ones right now.”

Clemson, Maryland, Nebraska and West Virginia have also been involved in the recruiting process.
Are there any favorites?
“I’d like to keep my options open for now,” McDowell said. “They’re all pretty equal, but I do like Auburn and LSU. I like the way they use their quarterbacks, how their offenses let the quarterback make plays with their arm and their legs.
“I want to see some of these schools this summer, take a look at the campuses. I want to find somewhere that I’ll be comfortable living for the next four or five years. That’s very important to me.”
McDowell (6-1, 190, 4.57) says he plans to camp at Auburn, LSU and Mississippi State.
As a junior, he passed for 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns while rushing for 400 yards and 12 scores.
