UVA gets local commitment

The Virginia Cavaliers have added some depth along their offensive line for next year and beyond with a commitment from an expected source.
"Zak committed to coach Golden and coach Groh," said the father of Manassas (Va.) Osbourn Park offensive lineman Zak Stair. "He is very excited to get the opportunity to go to a great public university like UVA."

Stair, a 6-foot-6, 285-pounder who will play offensive tackle for the Cavaliers, chose Virginia over offers from Syracuse and Maryland.
"Their coaching staff is outstanding. Al Groh and Coach Golden (Zak's lead recruiter) have really impressed me," the lineman told us earlier this week. "The football team always seems to be on the same page with the staff. Virginia is a top school academically and the football program is definitley moving in the right direction."
Stair runs the 40-yard dash in 5.0 seconds and is a full qualifier.
