UTEP will get visit from athlete

When you have one of the top running backs in the area, some times it's easy to be a quarterback. But when you have one of the top backs in the area and you're a Division I quarterback prospects things can get extremely easy. That's what things have been like this season for San Antonio (Texas) Madison two-star athlete/dual-threat quarterback Christian Caflisch.
The 6-foot-2, 178-pounder has helped his team to a 4-0 record in district and 6-1 record overall. He's doing a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but the main thing he's doing is helping his team win.

"I'm running the ball really well this season," Caflisch said. "It really feels like I've developed into a true dual-threat guy. Against Taft earlier this season, I rushed for 194 yards and had 110 yards passing. I also had a kickoff return for a touchdown and a 65-yard run."
It's those type of plays that has already drawn a scholarship offer from UTEP and is drawing heavy attention from Purdue and Texas A&M.
"I'm still talking to Purdue, Texas A&M and UTEP mostly," Caflisch said. "UTEP offered me and they're staying in contact quite a bit. I'm talking to coach Jeff Woodruff He's just a good guy and they're a good program that's heading in the right direction. That's what you want to see."
Is there shot that Purdue or A&M might offer?
"I think Purdue will more likely than A&M," he said. "I'm always in contact with Purdue every week."
Caflisch said he will take an official visit to UTEP for sure, but he has not lined up a visit date at this time.
