UTEP visit draws high praise

Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral two-star athlete Nick Neuenfeldt was one of three official visitors this weekend to UTEP and from all indications, the 6-foot-3, 235-pounder came away very impressed with his time in El Paso.
"It went well," Neuenfeldt said. "They have a really nice program. Coach Mike Price is doing a good job.

"They showed me around the campus, and you got to go out on the field for warm-ups before the game. We then got to go around after the game with the host and see what it's like to be a student."
So did Neuenfeldt commit?
"I liked what I saw, but I'm going to explore everything before I make a decision," he said.
Those other options include an official visit to Colorado State on December 2 and some serious interest from the Ivy League schools.
"I haven't talked to coach (James) Ward at Colorado State in a few weeks, but he wanted me to come out for a visit on December 3," Neuenfeldt said. "I'm going to send out some more film, see what it's like at Colroado State and I plan on definitely exploring the option of playing at an Ivy League School."
But make no mistake, UTEP has set the bar pretty high.
"I really like coach (Jeff) Banks," Neuenfeldt said. "UTEP really impressed me a lot."
