Utah TE lands offer No. 3

One of the top tight end prospects in the West next year will definitely be Salt Lake City (Utah) Highland standout Braden Brown. Brown is sitting on three offers right now and is hearing from a handful of schools all over the region.
Brown, 6-5, 235 pounds had a standout showing at UCLA's one day camp a year ago and the athlete has been picking up steam ever since. The tight end has a great frame and will have no problem adding size in the coming years. He also has arguably the best hands of any tight end we've seen and knows how to get open.

As a junior, Brown played in a run dominated offense but still caught 19 balls for 190 yards and added 42 tackles on defense. Offense will definitely be his meal ticket and tight end is the position everyone is recruiting him at.
On the recruiting front, Utah State was the first school to offer Brown back in mid May and then BYU offered the following day. Offer No. 3 came this past weekend.
"Braden attended Oregon's one day camp last Sunday and was offered the following Monday," Brown's father Les said. "Braden will also attend one day camps at UCLA, Washington and Washington State and I believe this could result in at least two additional offers, if not three, based on indications from the coaches. Right now, his favorite schools would be BYU, Oregon, UCLA, Utah, Utah State, Washington and Washington State."
We had a chance to see Brown at the NorCal NIKE camp where the athlete was the best player we saw among all tight ends in the position drills. He'll need to continue to work on his overall speed and strength but in terms of upside, Brown has a chance to be a very good player at the next level.
