Position: Safety/All-purpose back
Size and Speed: Kyle Brady is 6–foot-3 and 200 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 4.4 seconds.
Statistics: Last season he had 31 solo tackles, 57 assisted tackles and nine interceptions while playing safety.
Playing running back (slot-back), he gained 1,028 yards on 132 carries for a 7.8 yards per carry average, while scoring 15 touchdowns.
He averaged 16 yards per punt return (two touchdowns) and he averaged 27 yards for each kick off return (one touchdown).
Honors: He was named to first team all-state for both safety and running back.
Favorite Schools: He is hearing from in excess of 20 schools right now, including, but not exclusive to the following: BYU, Utah, Utah State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Arizona State, USC, Michigan, Princeton, Stanford, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, and Colorado.
He had the following things to say about the five schools that he would like to visit officially:
Oregon - "They send me a lot of mail. They have a very good football program up there and I hear they have good academics there too."
USC - "Well, one of my coaches coached at Utah and knows Norm Chow pretty well, because they coached against each other. Norm Chow has talked to them about me. I think that I will go down there to one of their football camps."
Arizona State - "It is pretty close to home and their football program seems to be on the rise right now. They are recruiting me pretty good too."
Northwestern - "I got a letter from their coach that says that they want me to go to their camp this summer, but I don't know whether I could go all the way back there (for a summer camp). They said that I was one of their top prospects."
Nebraska - "I like the way that their offense is kind of wide open. I play running back right now, but I could move to receiver. I like the way that they spread the ball all over the place. My school runs the option too and I play slot-back."
He also will make unofficial visits to the Utah colleges.
Skinny: What position do you prefer? "Offense, as I had better stats on offense, even though I had nine interceptions."
Kyle Brady will have zero problems qualifying academically, as he carries a 3.7 grade point average and he scored 24 on his first ACT test.
Summer camps: BYU, USC and Oregon in June for a one day camp.
Distance from home will not entered into the picture on the school that he ultimately picks.
