Three-star defensive end Rohan Blackwood attended the Clear Vision Clear Dreams (CVCD) camp this past weekend in West Palm Beach, Fla. and caught the eye of the college coaches in attendance.
At the CVCD camp, the Wisconsin coaches observed and studied him throughout the afternoon. He continues to impress on the camp scene with his frame, speed, and first-step quickness.
Two weeks ago, he attended the USF Saturday Night Lights camp and enjoyed his time working with college coaches.
"It was a good experience," said Blackwood. "I went there and learned a couple of moves while learning how to do new moves better. I liked how the coaches worked with me."
He also attended the Al Golden Camp at Miami in June. When asked about his trip to Coral Gables?
Blackwood only had this to say, "They had us working hard up there. The coaches at Miami were real good."
For now, it appears a two-team race between USF and Wisconsin. He feels comfortable with the USF coaches and says Wisconsin is continuing to recruit him the hardest.
Blackwood is not in a rush to decide and likely won't visit anywhere for the rest of the summer.
Last fall, he racked up 69 tackles and fifteen sacks to go with 23 quarterback hurries. He also added 130 yards receiving on eight receptions and two touchdowns.
