USF commit takes in Southern Miss.

South Florida commit Demetris Murray has some thinking to do. After taking an official visit to USF on Jan. 11, Murray spent this past weekend in Hattiesburg, Miss. visiting Southern Mississippi. The trip went well enough to give him plenty to think about over the next few weeks.
"It went really well," Murray said. "We just walked around campus and I hung out with some of the players. I talked to all of the coaches. They were just telling me that they were glad I made it. The campus was nice. It wasn't too big but it was right in the middle of town. The town was big but not too big."

Murray gave the visit a "9" on a scale of 1-10 and said found the trip very similar his trip a week earlier to South Florida.
"They're very similar," he said. "South Florida is a whole lot bigger but other than that, they're very similar."
With the new coaching staff at USM in place, Murray had the opportunity to see how he would be used in the new offense.
"They're gonna have like a spread and a lot of zone runs," he said. "We watched some film of what Coach Fedora did at Oklahoma State and I really like what they do with their running backs."
Because the trip went so well, his South Florida commitment is no longer an easy decision.
"I am still committed to South Florida but it's gonna be a tough decision," he said. "I've got a lot to think about these next couple weeks. I will decide before signing day."
Murray helped lead his team to an undefeated record and a Georgia 2A state championship this fall.
