Citra (Fla.) North Marion four-star tight end Sean Price is focused on the Under Armour All-America Game next week, but after that the South Florida commitment intends to take a few visits and sort through his recruitment.
"I have scheduled a visit to Arkansas on the 20th and the 13th I am going to South Florida for a banquet thing," Price said. "I might also go to Oklahoma on the 27th."
The Rivals250 prospect says that as things stand today, those are the only three schools really in the picture.
"It is pretty much just those three," Price said. "I told Miami I wasn't interested any longer."
The Sooners are new to the party. The 6-foot-4, 232-pound tight end explained how Bob Stoops and company got involved earlier in December.
"Oklahoma just got involved," Price said. "I am dealing with Coach (Cale) Gundy and Coach (Josh) Heupel. They are just telling me about how they have no tight ends up there and that I am a guy they really want. They told me the reason they got on me so late is that they thought my commit to South Florida was firm."
The Sunshine State prospect explained what he told the Oklahoma coaching staff when they asked about his commitment status to the in-state Bulls.
"I told them my options are always open," Price said. "I am going to do what is best for me. I am not going to limit myself."
When Price made his original decision, he cited distance as a factor. He says that isn't necessarily the case at this juncture.
"It isn't a factor if it is the right thing to do," Price said.
His final decision won't be until after he concludes his official visits.
"It will be around Signing Day," Price said.
On his senior season, Price had 24 receptions for 506 yards and five touchdowns.
