USF, Cincinnati pushing for 2016 FL WR

Class of 2016 Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep Dontay Mayfield added a handful of offers during the spring evaluation period and he's hoping its just the beginning of a busy summer.
Mayfield has offers from the likes of Wisconsin, USF and Cincinnati among others, with the Bulls and Bearcats currently pursuing him the hardest.
"Right now I would say USF and Cincinnati are recruiting me the most," he said. "I'm talking to both of them a lot."
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Mayfield shared his thoughts on both programs.
USF: "I missed the camp yesterday because we had a mating but I know they really like me. I'm really excited because it's the first in-state school. I'm not sure if I want to go far from home or stay close, it's a tough decision for me, but they've been sending a lot of mail and I'm glad to have the interest."
Cincinnati: "They wanted me to come to a camp but I think when we take our summer trip we're going to visit them. I'll stop by and have a few words with the coaches there."
With five offers already in the fold, Mayfield said he's hoping to catch the eye of the defending national champions sometime soon.
"I would say Florida State is the one offer I really want," he said. "They have that toughness. They have a crazy defense with a ton of guys that are hungry for the ball and then their offense is stacked at wide receiver, they have a great quarterback and they keep sending guys to the league. They've sent so many over the past few years it's crazy."
