USC- UCLA battle for local lineman

Earlier in the week, we talked with Pomona (Calif.) Diamond Ranch head coach Tom Leach about the status of his star athlete Charles Brown. Last night, we were able to talk to the horses mouth himself and to find out where Brown will be visiting in the two weeks.
Brown, 6-6, 250 pounds is a talented player who could play a number of positions in college. He has stated several times he wants an opportunity to play tight end in college although we really feel his upside is huge as a future left tackle.

The athlete gave a ‘soft’ commit to USC a few months back but a week or so later, said he now had co-leaders with the Trojans and UCLA after the Bruins offered a scholarship.
“Nothing has changed, it’s still the same,” Brown said. “I committed to the coaches at SC but told them I wanted to take other trips and I was keeping things open. Really my family wants me to keep things open and not rush in to a decision. I pretty much like SC and UCLA the same right now and I’m looking at these next couple of visits to help me figure out where the best place for me is.
“I’m visiting USC this weekend (Dec. 10) and then UCLA next weekend (Dec .17). Those are the only visits I have set up and really the only schools I’m looking at right now.”
