USC offers big for 2020 tight end from Washington

D’Andre Rogers landed on USC’s radar at summer camp. Things continued from there and now the 2020 prospect has an offer from the Trojans.

The Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic standout landed the offer from USC over the weekend on the same night his teammate, Ayden Hector, received one as well.

A few days later, Eastside Catholic standout receiver Gee Scott Jr. landed his USC offer. All three are 2020 prospects.

For Rogers, the Trojans’ coaching staff really stepped up their attention after he worked out there this summer so landing his first offer was definitely a big deal.

“It started at camp when I got MVP and coach (Clay) Helton really liked me,” Rogers said.

“They communicated through my head coach (Jeremy) Thielbahr after my first few games this season and I called them after hearing that they wanted to talk to me. Then they offered me early in the night.”

Landing any offer is a big deal especially for a 2020 prospect. Opening up with USC is definitely something big for the 6-foot-5, 240-pound tight end.

“I know the school has great tradition and environment,” Rogers said. “I want to go back to see more of it soon and learn about more than the football tradition and all the other things USC had to offer.”

Washington is the only other school showing significant interest, according to Rogers, who has 16 catches for 229 yards and five touchdowns so far this season.
