USC Lands One the Wests Best

USC was able to garner the commitment from who many on the west feel is the offensive lineman with the most upside in Chilo Rachal (6-6, 310, 4.9) from Compton (Calif.) Dominguez Rivals.com has learned. He has all the tools necessary to be an impact player for the Trojans.
Rachal already has Sunday type size and quickness. He’s a little raw but is willing to learn and is very coachable. Rachal has a very high ceiling and unlimited potential.

Even if Rachal wasn’t as athletically gifted as he is he would be a recruit on his tangibles alone. There aren’t a lot of players who have his size and quickness.
The word was USC was going to wait to offer him until their camp but the Trojan brass decided why wait and they offered Rachal. Rachal didn’t make the Trojans wait for his answer as he committed to them shortly after the offer was presented.
Once again USC is off to a great start with their recruiting efforts with the committal of this behemoth. Things are getting downright retro with USC as they’re popularity with recruits has been this high since the glory days of the 1960’s and 1970’s.
After some initial discontent regarding the hiring of Pete Carroll, he and his staff are beginning to make USC AD Mike Garrett look like genius.
