USC lands four-star DE

Irvine (Calif.) Woodbridge four-star strongside defensive end Alex Parsons was on his way to school this morning just hours after returning from an official visit to USC.
On the way to school he answered his cell phone and gave Trojan fans good news that they're hoping to hear.

"I committed to USC yesterday on my visit," Parsons, who is 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, said.
"I could name a thousand reasons why I picked USC, but it was definitely the academic center for me. I liked how it was set up. That stuff is important to me, and USC had everything I was looking for."
Parsons, a Rivals250 selection that is ranked as the nation's No. 13 player at his position, was also recruited by Arizona, Kentucky, UCLA, Arizona State, Colorado, Washington and Washington State. He visited Arizona, Kentucky and USC.
His visit this weekend was his best and his last, he said.
"I told the coaches when we were in a meeting," Parsons said.
"I told Pete Carroll, Jethro Franklin and Lane Kiffin. They gave me hugs and high fives. They were really excited.
"And so am I. This is like a big dream come true for me."
