USC Lands Another
USC is closing fast as expected and you can add Long Beach Poly (Calif.) wide out Derrick Jones to the mix as well. Jones had narrowed his choices to the Trojans and Oregon but when he didn't make a visit to Oregon last weekend, it became pretty obvious what he was going to do.
"I've liked USC for awhile now and just feel the most comfortable there," Jones said. "I know they have a lot of receivers but I'm not worried about that. I'm not afraid to go in and compete with them and if I'm good enough to play, I'll play."
Jones, 6-0, 160 pounds will also run track for the Trojans and is one of the nation's top sprinters in the 100 and 200m.
