USC Lands A Good One

Pac10Recruiting has been able to confirm that USC has picked up another solid commitment from one of the San Fernando Valley area’s best players in linebacker Rob Lewis from Van Nuys (Calif.) Montclair College Prep.
Trojan head coach Pete Carroll visited the school over the weekend and offered Lewis a ride and Lewis didn’t waste anytime in accepting.

The Trojans get a player who may still grow. As it is Lewis stands 6-foot-5, and weighs 215. This talent has unlimited potential both athletically and physically.
Lewis is a standout on both sides of the ball, but the Trojans like him as a linebacker and that is the position he will line up at for SC.
Montclair College Prep has sent several players to the D-I level over the years and Lewis is on par with any of athletes before him. “Rob is one of the best players I’ve ever coached,” Montclair College Prep head coach George Giannini. “He’s our team captain, plays both ways for us and never come off the field.”
“Rob is a very coachable and humble young man,” Giannini said. “He’s a very intelligent football player who knows the game.”
Lewis is also intelligent in the classroom as he sports an outstanding 3.8 GPA.
This is a nice get for the Trojans, a team that is off to a great start in the recruiting wars.
Pac10Recruiting will have more details on Lewis and other Montclair prospect very soon.
Stay tuned…
