USC interested in 2017 recruit

Brandon McKinney has already landed offers from Arizona State, Boston College, UCLA and Washington and many other big-time programs are showing interest in the 2017 four-star defensive back. The Orange (Calif.) Lutheran standout said USC, Utah, Mississippi State and Cal have reached out recently.

WHAT'S NEXT?: McKinney is not planning any major trips in the coming weeks but is focused on finishing out his junior season and then turning his focus to recruiting. He could take some local visits and those could be crucially important.
IN HIS WORDS: "SC asked me if an offer would be bigger than the others and Colorado actually requested my transcripts and gave me a lot of interest," McKinney said.
RIVALS' REACTION: McKinney is still in the early stages of his recruitment but the guess is that UCLA definitely stands out in his recruitment for numerous reasons. Watch out, though, if USC offers. The four-star prospect likes the Trojans a lot and this looks like a local battle for the Orange Lutheran standout.
