USC, FSU entering picture for 3-star FL DB

Class of 2015 three-star defensive back Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas Rashard Causey has made it clear that he's high on South Carolina, but as the offseason has moved along, several programs continue to enter the picture.
"Recently Miami, South Carolina and USC have been showing me a lot of love," Causey said over the weekend. "Notre Dame is already starting to show a lot of interest and so is Florida State. They're really coming at me and I'm excited about it."

The in-state Seminoles clearly offer an intriguing option for Causey, if they were to offer. He's hoping to make it to campus this weekend for an unofficial visit.
"I'm trying to go up there with Tyrek [Cole] and Calvin [Ridley], I'm working on it," he said. "They're just telling me that they're waiting to see me in person this spring before they offer but they want me to come up and see the place as soon as I can."
With his South Florida swagger, Causey thinks he would fit in nicely with Florida State's current crop of defensive backs.
"I think I would fit in perfectly," he said. "I have the same attitude and the same mindset and I just want to win."
Not to be forgotten are the Gamecocks. Causey said he's hoping to visit Columbia on April 12. He also has several other schools he's hoping to add to his offer list soon.
"Hopefully I can add USC, Wisconsin and Ohio State," he said. "USC is coming at me real hard. They just want to see me in person, see how big I am, how I move and then they'll offer. That should happen in the spring."
With several of his options far from home, Causey said he's more than willing to leave Florida if it means a better opportunity.
"When it all comes down to it it's a business transition," he said. "So if I have the opportunity to make it big there in three or four years then I'm OK with going far from home."
