USC commitment knows of three visits

Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson linebacker Kent Turene has been committed to the University of Southern Cal since early July. Despite that commitment, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker is planning to take a few official visits to other schools.
"I am going to take other visits," Turene said. "For right now, I am taking visits to LSU and Georgia. I haven't scheduled the exact dates but it will be in December. I am going to take my official to USC right after the season."

As for the other two official visits, at this time those destinations remain up in the air.
"I am going to take the other two," Turene said. "I don't know where yet, but I do want to take all five of them."
As for the reasoning behind the three-star linebackers decision to visit other schools, he said it is just a matter of seeing how different universities compare to one another.
"I want to keep my options open and see what else is out there," Turene said. "I just want to see other schools. I am looking forward to seeing what other schools have to offer and how they compare to USC."
At this point, Rivals' No. 59 ranked prospect in the Sunshine State says that Lane Kiffin's program has nothing to worry about.
"I am pretty firm," Turene said.
Turene reported a 24 on the ACT so he expects to encounter no issues with qualifying. Despite his previous plans, he said he is no longer enrolling early.
