USC commit to take visits

Chris Hawkins is still fully committed to USC but the Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., four-star cornerback said he's going to take some official visits before National Signing Day.
"I'm planning to take a couple visits to some schools I want to see," Hawkins said.

"I'm still solid to USC but I want to see the schools. I don't have any set dates yet but I know for sure I'm going to Notre Dame, Arizona State and Oregon."
Those three programs will probably get official visits and Hawkins said a trip to Alabama is also under serious consideration.
The four-star also plans to take an official trip to USC and said there is almost no chance he will back away from his pledge even if he's blown away during his other visits.
"I am 100 percent committed," Hawkins said.
"I just want to check out some other schools, schools where it was hard for me to get to. I just want to check out their campuses but I'm 100 percent to USC.
"I'm not even considering (switching commitments) right now. I know where I want to go to school. USC can compete with the best. All they're going to show me is their facilities and USC just upgraded majorly in their facilities, too."
Hawkins, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect who shined at multiple national events this summer including the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge and The Opening, made his commitment to USC on April 1. He was close to committing to Stanford before a late offer came from the Trojans.
Rivals.com rates him as the seventh-best cornerback and No. 78 prospect in the 2013 class. He's No. 10 in the California state rankings.
