HARBOR CITY, Calif. – Raymond Scott is still in the same situation.

Committed to USC. Making no secret he’s still going to take official visits.

Minutes after his Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne stormed back to beat Gardena (Calif.) Serra, 17-14, on Friday night, the four-star linebacker was more focused on the game than his recruitment.

“Coming into this game, we knew it was going to be a defensive game,” Scott said. “We prepared throughout the week. We knew it was going to be situational. When it came down to it, we were prepared and we dominated.”

Scott has been committed to USC for more than a year but he’s been visiting schools since that time and plans to continue that route.

Oklahoma continues to come after the Harbor City Narbonne standout and Scott said a return trip to Norman is definitely expected. Seeing Oregon is the plan as well and other trips could happen, too.

“Everything is the same,” Scott said.

“The commitment is the same. I still stay in touch with the SC coaches. It’s a great relationship. I stay in contact with other coaches, too, building relationships and staying in contact to try to see where I’m at in the future.”

The Sooners have long been after Scott, and there is definitely talk that if Scott ends up anywhere other than USC then Oklahoma could definitely be the spot.

According to sources, Scott absolutely loved his offseason visit to Oklahoma and will return this season.

“Oklahoma I haven’t really gone over their defense that much but it’s a pretty sound defense,” Scott said. “I can picture myself there, too, so we’ll see what happens in the future.

“I’m looking at everything. Everything is just the same.”
