USC commit may take trips

USC commit Chris Metcalf (6-2, 180, 4.6) from Compton, Calif., was one of the many headliners who showed up and participated at the NIKE Camp held in Los Angeles. He plays a hybrid linebacker/safety for Compton but was recruited by USC as an athlete and appears that he will end up playing on the D-I level at strong safety.
Metcalf looked pretty good when you consider he's more of a run stopper for Compton and doesn't play in space much. He displayed good skills and had a pretty good day.

Football isn't the only sport that Metcalf competes in as he currently competes in track. His three events are the 200 (24.3), 100 (11.1) and the 110 hurdles (18.3).
Metcalf who chose USC over offers from the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, and Tennessee could end up taking some official visits this fall.
"I'm going to try and take visits to Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, Oregon and USC," Metcalf said. "I still want to take my visits just to make sure that USC is the right place for me."
Metcalf is going to continue to work on his skills as football player in the offseason and is planning on attending USC's Rising Seniors Camp and the Beyond 2000 Elite Camp (B2G).
As a junior, Metcalf accounted for 56 tackles while earning all-area, and all-league honors.
