Bo Calvert is happily committed to USC.

But the four-star linebacker from Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian has also said for months that he could take some official visits.

Calvert was at Utah this past weekend and he had a phenomenal experience.

“I had a great time while on my visit to Utah,” Calvert said. “I had the opportunity to spend time with some current players and hear their perspectives about Ute football, university life and the culture of Salt Lake City.”

The four-star standout accomplished a lot on his visit to Utah. One of the things that stood out was that Calvert got to spend a lot of time with the coaching staff. That was very much appreciated by the Oaks Christian prospect.

And useful in his future thinking.

“I also spent a lot of time with head coach Kyle Whittingham along with the rest of his staff,” Calvert said.

“It was nice to see how genuine and real they are when speaking to you. They speak from the heart and mean what they say. The visit felt like one big home-cooked meal. Overall, it was a great experience and I really enjoyed being able to get a more in-depth perspective on the University of Utah.”

As for other visits, Calvert said nothing else is planned except for a trip to USC, probable for some time in January. His commitment to the Trojans remains firm.
