USC a major player for 2018 4-star Georgia DB Christian Tutt

The Latest: Class of 2018 four-star defensive back Christian Tutt has had a unique offseason. He started the year off by transferring to IMG Academy in Florida, only to transfer back home to Georgia following the conclusion of the spring. Since returning home, Tutt has been busy preparing for his senior season, while recruiting trips have taken a bit of a backseat. He said he plans to change that over the next month or so, with several visits on the schedule, including one to USC. Rivals.com caught up with Tutt to talk about his interest in the Trojans.

In His Words: "I still like USC. I’m going to go back out there for a game at the beginning of the year. I haven’t booked the trip yet but I’m probably going to go to their first game of the season. Last year I went when they played their first game and I’m trying to do the same thing again this year. The distance isn't an issue for me. It’s different to go to college at USC in California than it is to go to high school at IMG. You get a little more freedom in college. I don’t have a problem with going out there. There’s a lot of things about USC that I really like. That L.A. life is different. Being there you have a chance to come in and play early. They don’t really get a lot of athletes from the South so I would like to be one of those guys who goes out there and can show what the south is all about."

Rivals Reaction: Tutt played several games last season sporting USC gloves and seems to have a certain affinity for the program. However, it's worth nothing that it's still early in the process and he has several other trips planned, including Miami, South Carolina, Ohio State and Clemson. All of those programs, with the addition of Georgia as well, are schools the Trojans will be battling going forward.
