Uriah Marshall: Back From ASU

One of the elite cornerbacks in the West region this year is Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep standout Uriah Marshall. The 6-0, 175 pound defensive back visited Arizona State this weekend and said the Sun Devils set the bar very high.
“The team unity really stood out to me,” Marshall said. “I’ve been there so many times so I already know the coaches well and the facilities. I really wanted to check out the team chemistry and was very impressed by it. ASU is coming off a losing season but the players are so close and so tight with each other.

“The whole team seems to stick together and to a man, everyone talked about how next year is going to be their year. They said it was always just a play here or a play there that caused them to lose a few games but they’re all confident they can turn it around next year.
“I still have four more trips to go before I’ll be ready to make my decision. ASU set the bar pretty high and that was the reason I chose to visit them first. They’re one of my favorites and I wanted to check them out first and make every other school have to compete with that visit. I have Washington next weekend and then Oregon State (Jan 9) and Cal (Jan 16). I’m committed to taking all four of those visits and then I’ll know for sure what I should do.”
