Upcoming visits crucial for OBrien

Connor O'Brien has a handful of offers and is hearing from many other programs but the Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita safety doesn't want to develop a list of favorites until he takes some visits.
The good news is that O'Brien plans to take some trips over spring break - starting with the schools that have offered - and he should get a better sense of his recruitment upon his return.

So far, Colorado, Duke, Oregon State and Washington State have offered the 6-foot-4, 205-pound prospect and he's hearing from USC, UCLA, Oregon, TCU and Washington among others.
"I'm definitely going to check out as many campuses as I can," O'Brien said.
"I've already been to USC and UCLA but I want to check it out and see which schools fit me best, where I can see myself going and I want to see about playing time as well. I'm definitely really excited.
"I'm going to try to see as many schools as I can. I want to see all the schools that offered me. That's my main priority now since they gave me the offer but I'm going to try to see the other schools too because I never know if I like a school until I visit it."
Spring break will be an important time for O'Brien, who finished with 92 tackles and eight interceptions in his junior season. He helped Santa Margarita along with many other top prospects to a 13-2 record.
O'Brien plans to start taking visits over spring break and he hopes to see all four programs that have offered him. Until the Santa Margarita prospect gets to take some visits he doesn't want to name any frontrunners.
"I'm going to try to get all of them during spring break," O'Brien said. "I know I'm going to Boulder for sure, Oregon State and Washington State and I'm going to try to get Duke, too.
"I think I'm going to wait until I visit all of them to see which one I like best before I name any favorites."
