DALLAS, Tex. -- Since the Army Underclassmen Combine in January, three-star offensive lineman Marcus Alexander has seen his stock rise at a steady pace - and now, several Power Five teams are looking to add him to their class.

Oklahoma State is the latest to offer and Alexander said on Thursday night while training with True Buzz Athletics that he was hopeful to make a stop in Stillwater following a trip up to Lubbock to visit Texas Tech.

All indications are that he’s still pretty early in the process of deciding what is the best fit for him, but as offers continue to come in, schools like North Texas and UTSA hope they can keep hold his interest. He’s already made visits to both and the early returns have been positive for each.

“They hit me up every day to see how I’m doing, how my day’s going; they’ve been on me a lot,” he said.

“[North Texas] is a rising program and rising pretty fast to me,” he said. “I bond with Coach (Seth) Littrell pretty hard. That’s my guy.”

IN HIS WORDS

On UTSA

“That’s a school that really likes me,” he said. “It’s been out on Twitter on group group chats that people like it out there and think it’s cool … I just really like being out there and they just treated me like I was the only thing that they were looking for and that made it feel pretty good.”

His thoughts on Texas Tech heading into his visit on Saturday

“They’ve been telling me that I am going to enjoy it, so I really hope to enjoy it when I’m out there,” he said. “Coach Brandon Jones has been the one that has been recruiting me - he gave me my first offer so I really respect that … They’re a throwing team, though, so I am really going to have to work on my pass-blocking.”

RIVALS REACTION

Alexander didn’t express much urgency in trying to put an early end to his recruitment, and when a team like Oklahoma State joins the group that has already offered him, he’ll be expected to take a hard look at the Cowboys. Alexander also said that he expects SMU and a few other teams to be close to extending an offer, so barring any sudden changes, no big changes with him should be expected until at least towards the end of summer.
