UNT lands a pair of JUCOs

North Texas pulled two out of Mississippi and both of them are ready to get going early.
Poplarville (Miss.) Pearl River C.C. was the home to offensive tackle Nate Jenkins and offensive guard Gabe Hollivay but now both will be finishing their college career under Todd Dodge at North Texas.

Both players cited the chance to play right away as factors in their decision.
"I visited about three weeks ago," Jenkins said. "I feel like I have a chance to come in and start right away."
He is certainly big enough. The juco prospect stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 335-pounds. Hollivay is right there with him at 6-foot-3 and 320 pounds. He also sees an opportunity to get on the field for the Mean Green.
"I loved it when I was out there," he said. "The coaches were nice, I got along with the players and the school was nice. I really like the campus. I definitely feel like I can come in and help right away."
