UNT adds three

Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College is one of the top juco programs in the nation, so it's no surprise a team like North Texas is taking a strong look at some of the Red Raven's talent. And two players from the team are looking at the Eagles so much they've already gone ahead and committed.
North Texas has picked up pledges from Coffeyville two-star athlete Woody Wilson and two-star safety Roy Loren. Wilson, originally an Arkansas commitment out of high school, said both he and Loren committed on their official visit two weeks ago. Loren is originally from Mission, Kan., and earned all-conference honors as a sophomore.

"I liked the campus and they had a lot of cool people there," Wilson said about his decision. "A bunch of my teammates from juco that were on my team last year are at North Texas, and I feel real comfortable in their offense so I felt it was the right place for me."
Wilson said coach Kenny Evans did a good job of recruiting him.
"I talk to coach Evans from there a lot," Wilson said. "He was real cool through the whole process. He was always real straight-forward with me about what was going on and whether they were going to offer me a scholarship and all that."
UNT has also picked up a commitment from Brian Carlson of Kilgore (Texas) College. He is 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds.
