UNLV picked up a major coup out-recruiting a couple of Pac 10 schools to land Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne defensive back Jeff Brown. Brown, 6-1, 185 pounds tripped to Oregon and was set to visit Arizona State this weekend but will no longer make that visit.
Brown took visits to Oregon and UNLV and was close to committing to the Ducks on his during his trip.
“I was ready to do it but they told me my offer was kind of on hold,” Brown said. “I was their No. 3 guy and they were only taking two safeties. Arizona and Arizona State were both recruiting me hard too but no one was as consistent as UNLV. They were one of my first offers and stayed on me throughout the whole recruiting process.
