Under Armour: Five who could surprise

Abernathy has limited experience at cornerback, but he has good size, he's long and he has very good feet. He's also a very good special teams player, so we'll see if he impacts there as well. He's a three-star for us right now simply because we want to see how he handles playing corner full time against some of the best. If he does well, he could jump up in the rankings in a big way. Abernathy is a Tennessee commitment.

DE
Marques Ford
Gibsonton (Fla.) East Bay
Ford is an athletic edge rusher with good speed and long arms and he will be competing against some of the best offensive tackles in the country as well as measuring himself against some elite ends. He is the highest-ranked three-star at weakside defensive end, so he's been in the four-star discussions numerous times. The only thing he's lacked has been the size and strength to handle some of the longer-armed tackles. Now is his chance to show he's corrected that. Ford is also a Tennessee commitment.

WR
Brandon Martin
Dallas (Tex.) Prime Prep Academy
Who? That's what many have been saying about Martin, who has emerged nationally under the tutelage of Deion Sanders. Martin is a mid-range three-star prospect who has excellent senior film and good size but limited offers. He could be the surprise of the entire week or he could be over his head.

OG
Fred Ulu-Perry
Honolulu (Hawaii) Saint Louis School
You never know what you get when a Hawaiian hits the mainland and goes against the best in the country, but Ulu-Perry Jr. could be a road grader who gives people fits on the inside. Or he could simply be overwhelmed with the size and speed of his competition. As a three-star, he essentially only has room to move up for the most part so keep an eye on him. He is committed to UCLA.
