UNC WR commit talks OC opening

With the offensive coordinator position at North Carolina still vacant, many commits have already given their preference who the next play-caller should be. Add Charlotte (N.C.) Providence wide receiver Austin Proehl to list.
"I think [wide receivers] Coach Gunter Brewer would be a great offensive coordinator, Proehl said of his position coach and primary recruiter. "But I'm comfortable with whatever they decide. We're going to move forward and not miss a beat."

The reason Proehl prefers to see the school promote from within is because he wants to see continuity with the Heels offense.
"I definitely think they should promote from within just because the people who are already there know the offense really well," he said. "From what I've heard they will promote from within. Just use the people that are already there to just keep running that same offense. The tempo and the way they do things is great and they've become accustomed to that there."
Proehl said if Brewer isn't the main option, he'd be to see tight ends coach Walt Bell get a crack at the gig.
"I have faith in the guys that are there, Proehl said. "Coach Brewer talked to me about it and he said if he goes to offensive coordinator or if Coach Bell does, not much is going to change. I have a good relationship with all of those guys so it's one of those things that I'm comfortable with it no matter what happens."
Despite the change on the staff Proehl said nothing has changed and he'll only take official visit, to UNC next month.
