UNC still after 3-star Georgia DB

Three-star Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek defensive back Javon Jackson picked up several offers during the spring, including most recently Missouri and South Carolina. But one school has been on him since last year and he maintains in regular contact with them now.
"I talk to North Carolina often," Jackson said. "They told me I fit their scheme well as a safety. I like their coaches. We talk a lot and not just about football, we talk about boxing, we talk about prom, they're cool coaches. I like them."

The Tar Heels are on Jackson's summer visit schedule, but he's already been to campus in Chapel Hill before and enjoyed the trip.
"I've visited there before and I liked it," Jackson said. "The facilities are nice. They're adding to them and even before that they are nice so it's an attractive option."
While Jackson is getting plenty of love from schools all over the country, he said the love from the Tar Heels has been there the longest.
"They have made me a priority," Jackson said. "Academics are really important to me and my family and they offer that, too."
Plenty of other programs are also close to offering Jackson, including Vanderbilt, Stanford and Georgia Tech, but he said they need to get on board soon as a decision could be coming before the start of his senior season.
"I would like to have it before the season starts but I'm not going to make any promises on that," Jackson said.
