UM great and fun for Hand

This past weekend, Da'Shawn Hand, the nation's top overall prospect, took his first visit to one of his top schools since naming his top five in early February. The Michigan Wolverines hosted the defensive end from Woodbridge (Va.) Woodbridge Senior and they did not disappoint.
Hand was so impressed with his experience in Ann Arbor, he couldn't sum up the trip in just one word.

"Great and fun," said the 6-foot-4, 245-pound Hand. "The town, people, players are really nice. I could really gel with them. They have a lot of team chemistry. It was really great.
"We drove eight and a half hours on Friday to get up there," he said. "Saturday we went to the facilities, met up with the coaches and watched practice for a little bit. Then we went to the academic buildings and we went to the Sports Management building. All the facilities are really nice. The professor there really knows his stuff. After that we went back to the practice facilities, met with the coaches and watch some film.
"Later, I went and hung out with the players," Hand said. "All the players are really funny and we had a really good time. All the people are really nice and everybody knows you. It's insane.
"Today we went to the Big House," he said. "It was my first time being there and it was really big. That experience was so crazy. It was an amazing stadium."
Now everyone is wondering how Michigan compares to Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
"Well I'm not comparing schools right now," Hand explained. "I'm just experiencing each one. Once I go to all five schools then I can compare them. I'm just taking it slow again. I'm not making any sudden moves.
"I'm going to chill out, focus on school and train," he said. "The new guy I train with, Kevin Johnson is amazing. This guy is really high energy, does his research and we always have a good time. We work on a lot of core, balance and explosion stuff."
Everyone is now looking forward to hearing when and where Hand will be visiting next.
"My next visit will probably be either South Carolina or Florida," said Hand. "It will probably happen some time in the summer."
Hand said he will participating at the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour in Richmond next month.
