Ulmer is going national

It started with a great summer camp tour that culminated in his first verbal offers.
Now recruiting is starting to go national for William Ulmer. The Washington (D.C.) St. John's junior athlete has offers from North Carolina , Syracuse , Boston College and Maryland but they aren't the only schools involved.

"A lot of schools have been opening the door as well," Ulmer said. " Alabama is talking to me heavy. West Virginia, Michigan, Tennessee, Oregon and Pitt have been talking to me too."
Most of those schools have contacted the 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete via Facebook and they're flooding him with mail, including handwritten letters.
Ulmer has been enjoying the process but staying close to home. St. John's has had some Saturday games and his schedule hasn't allowed him to hit the road much since the end of the summer.
"I did go to Maryland for a game," he pointed out. "But I haven't been to many. I've been checking out teams here and there."
This season Ulmer has passed for 750 yards and rushed for nearly 1,000 with 15 total touchdowns. St. John's is 5-2 and takes on DeMatha this week.
