Ukandu excited for camps

An impressed Chibuzo Ukandu is very excited about some camp dates coming up later this summer. The 2014 defensive tackle from Baltimore (Md.) Gilman already has one offer from Charlotte and is hoping to get a few more at upcoming camps.
"I plan on visiting Virginia sometime this summer," said the 6-foot-3, 250-pound Ukandu. "I'll also probably visit Maryland at some point. I haven't been to other camps because I'm still in school but I'm going to Virginia, Virginia Tech and Penn State's camp."

Even though his recruiting process is just beginning to take off, he feels that a few more offers may be right around the corner.
"I think the next schools that will offer me could be between Virginia, Maryland or Boston College."
Besides these schools, Ukandu mentioned that he has been in contact with many schools, including Penn State, Alabama, Florida, Maryland, Rutgers, Wisconsin, North Carolina and others. Which ones stick out to Ukandu?
"I like Alabama and Penn State because they are powerhouse programs in their league and that's something I want to be a part of," explained Ukandu. "Basically, I look at the education I can get there and if the coaches give off a good vibe. I also like coach Poindexter from Virginia, he's pretty cool."
Ukandu is looking forward to the challenges of the upcoming season and is confident in his team.
"This season is looking good and we have a lot of talent. An undefeated season is the goal and this should be a tough but good season. We are playing Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep and Olney (Md.) Our Lady of Good Counsel."
