Honors: Fisher earned first-team all district honors as a junior.
Statistics: Fisher rushed for around 1,700 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior.
Favorite Schools: Fisher lists Florida, Michigan, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Iowa and UCLA as his top teams.
Skinny: They say good things come in small packages and that’s exactly the case with Richardson (Texas) Pearce running back Parrish Fisher.
He might only be 5-foot-9 ¾ but he’s all man when it comes to running back – helping him rip opponents for 1,700 yards rushing into one of the better districts in the Dallas Metroplex.
“I guess I’m just a determined guy,” Fisher said. “I really use my vision also to get into the open field. And when I do, I can run over you around or around you.”
And with 4.4 speed to go along with his frame, vision and strength, he might just become one of the better backs in the state of Texas for the Class of 2004. With so many other names getting mentioned at running back, it would be easy to overlook Fisher, but after a quick film review he’s a solid prospect that should garner plenty of attention.
“I’ve always followed Michigan and Florida,” he said. “So it’s great to be getting mail from them. I also like Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Iowa and UCLA.”
Fisher said when it comes time to make a decision, things like education and graduation rates will be important.
“The first thing I’ll look at is the overall football program and how strong it is,” he said. “I also must get a good education and the school must have a high graduation rate. I also want to feel comfortable there at the school and see how the social life is.”
Rivals100 is betting he’ll have plenty of chances to look at those things at quite a few schools.
