UF to snag away UNC recruit
Despite being committed to North Carolina, Tampa (Fla.) Wharton linebacker Larry Edwards has continued to look around And that looking led him to Florida this weekend and a visit with the Gators.
“I’m still committed to North Carolina, but I’m going to have to do some thinking,” Edwards, a three-star outside linebacker, said. “I never thought I would get an offer from Florida, but Ron Zook sat me down in his office and offered me a scholarship. Like I said, I’m going to have to do some thinking.”
Edwards is 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds. He also visited ILSU and Nebraska before committing to UNC after a January 10 official visit.
