Cook says he is still solid to Florida, but he wants to see what other schools have to offer. So why the Longhorns and Trojans?
"The style of offense," replied Cook. "Those are some of the elite programs that are coming up and I feel like I can change their program."
But the Gators won't go away quietly. Florida is still recruiting Cook hard to try and keep his commitment.
"Always. They are always calling me every week and I'm always calling them," stated Cook. "I have a great bond with (running back coach)Brian White."
The four-star athlete is working on fellow Rivals100 prospect Ermon Lane to commit to the Gators along with a few other local prospects. Lane is announcing his commitment Monday night.
"I'm mainly working on Ermon," noted Cook. "I feel like we can do some great things at UF. We can get UF back to where it used to be at when Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin were there."
As a junior, Cook ran for 1,452 yards on 127 carries and 21 touchdowns while adding an interception return for a touchdown on defense. Over the last two seasons he has rushed for 2,300 yards, helping his team to a state title a year ago and a runner-up finish as a sophomore.
