The Latest: As one of the top running backs in the state of South Carolina, one would think that Ailym Ford would have his share of scholarship options at the FBS level. But as it turns out, with the early signing period right around the corner, Ford is weighing FBS vs. FCS options. With his recruitment down to American Athletic Conference team Connecticut and FCS power Chattanooga, Rivals.com caught up with Ford at the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas to get his thoughts.

In His Words:

On UConn: "I took an official up there. They're very interested in me and they can use me in their offense."

On what he could bring to UConn: "I can bring a little more speed and explosion and elusiveness to their offense because that's what they need on their team."

Thoughts on UConn campus/facilities: "Everything is real updated and you have the key to all the facilities and weight room, even when you don't have practice and stuff like that. So you can go in there on your own time and get extra work and keep getting better."

On weighing FBS vs. FCS: "For me, it's not about the division. They are both Division 1 football. For me it's about where I feel most comfortable."
