UCLA to get visit from Gunn

When you say that you’re down to two teams, the recruiting attention is bound to head up. That’s the story with Brandon Gunn, a three-star running back from Omaha (Neb.) Central. Or is it?
“Well, I got to thinking about things here the last few days, and for a while I’ve been down to Kansas State and Iowa State,” Gunn said. “But the more I thought about it, the more I decided that I wanted to go ahead and take that visit to UCLA on January 9.”

Gunn, who is 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, said he’s still leaning to the Wildcats and Cyclones, but he’s going to go out to UCLA with an open mind. And for now with the dead period about to take place, Gunn said he’s hoping to get a break from recruiters and focus even more on his Central basketball team.
“We’re playing in a tournament here at UNO,” he said. “It’s an all-metro thing and we should be favored to win it. I’m averaging about five or six points a game, so I’m having fun. Basketball is a good distraction from having to think about my future.”
But he knows that a decision is looming.
“It’ll not be too long from now,” he said about his decision.
