"My GPA didn't meet their recruiting tenet, but once they received my test scores they started to recruit me again," Martin said. "I don't think they understood how challenging Harvard-Westlake is academically.
"Stanford was always my number one school," Martin said. "When they couldn't recruit me due to my GPA, I decided to move on and UCLA was my best option.
"If I still don't get accepted to Stanford, I will open up my recruitment," Martin said. "I have no other schools that I'm interested in off the top of my head.
"I'm waiting for Stanford and I'll go from there," Martin said. "UCLA is still definitely an option.
Martin and his Harvard-Westlake teammates won their first-round playoff game 42-16 against Torrance, Calif., last Friday Evening.
Harvard-Westlake will take on Oak Park, Calif., in the second round this Friday at home.
