UCLA, others watch Gebbia

Tristan Gebbia has seen a lot of college coaches stop by Calabasas, Calif., this spring evaluation period and he's getting more interest but it's still in the early stages for the 2017 four-star quarterback.
Gebbia said this past weekend at the Charter Oak 7v7 tournament that UCLA was out to see him last week and the Bruins are expected back. That could only be taken as a good sign.

"Recently a lot of schools have been coming by," Gebbia said.
"UCLA was there (Friday) to watch me throw and they said they're going to send somebody back out. I've just been working hard and waiting for more to come.
"They said they liked me a lot and they want to see me camp and then they're going to go from there. I'm going to look into it definitely during this stretch of May and June."
So far, Gebbia has been offered by Kentucky, Louisville, Miami and Washington State and it's clear that many others are interested. His recruitment could pick up in the coming months so Gebbia said he remains wide open to every program.
"There has been a vast array of coaches," Gebbia said. "Some offense but mostly defensive coaches have been coming out and they said they're going to send their OCs and their quarterback coaches out to see me. We'll see in a couple weeks.
"I haven't really looked into camps yet. I've just been trying to get my game better with my team and win some passing tournaments.
"It's too early for favorites. I have to go see how everybody runs their offenses. I haven't been able to look at a lot of colleges yet so I'll be looking into that this summer."
In his sophomore season, Gebbia threw for 3,336 yards with 35 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
