UCLA - OSU battle for Nicolas

"I can tell you he's getting close," Brandon Nicolas' father Ron said when asked if his son was nearing a decision on his college. "It should be in the next couple to three weeks."
"I would say for the most part there's two or maybe three leaders. Ohio State, UCLA, and I think Colorado. And potentially Notre Dame, but they haven't offered yet. We're a little surprised we haven't heard from them."
"Ohio is our old home. UCLA is close to here. Around the first week of September or so I think he'll make a decision."
The 6-foot-5 and 260 pound Nicolas, from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei was his conference lineman of the year his junior season. He made 40 tackles including 14 for losses. Nicolas lived in Ohio for seven years and went to Cleveland St. Ignatius as a 9th grader.
Nicolas could play defensive end, defensive tackle, or on the offensive line in college. He is the number 25 strongside defensive end prospect and has a three star ranking.
