UCLA commit working on Mixon

Adarius Pickett is thrilled with his commitment to UCLA and now the El Cerrito, Calif., four-star cornerback is working on getting other top players in the class as well.
Target No. 1: Five-star all-purpose back Joe Mixon.

"I'm talking to Joe about UCLA," Pickett said.
"Right now it sounds like he likes UCLA. I'm going to talk to him since I came back (from the trip there). Hopefully pretty soon down the road he can become a Bruin, too. He's been interested, really, really interested."
The four-star prospect has been committed to the Bruins since early September and while he said USC, Cal and now Oregon continue to show interest, he's not rethinking his decision and is happy with his choice.
"Cal and USC a little bit and a little bit of Oregon but I'm really solid on my commitment so I'm not too worried about those other schools," Pickett said.
A great start to UCLA's season has helped with Pickett, rated as the eighth-best cornerback and the No. 124 prospect in the 2014 class by Rivals.com.
Pickett was especially impressed - but not totally surprised - by UCLA's drubbing of Nebraska a few weeks back.
"They're playing great," Pickett said. "They're having a good season so far.
"I'm really solid with this. With UCLA, just being there and seeing how the atmosphere was with them at the Rose Bowl, to the coaches and the players and the whole team, it was a pretty special atmosphere up there and they're having a great season.
"I thought they were going to win. I just didn't know they were going to have a slow first half. They came out in the second half and produced and ended up winning big so that was a good game."
