Stephan Blaylock has been committed to UCLA since May and the four-star defensive back has watched the coaching transition from Jim Mora to Chip Kelly closely.
But it also has not stopped the Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco standout from figuring out his visit schedule and this past weekend he took a trip to Washington.
The Huskies offered in October and have been involved ever since in Blaylock’s recruitment. After his trip to Washington, the Pac-12 power should continue to be a player for his services.
“How the coaches made school an important part of the trip so we could learn more about we what will be majoring in (stood out most),” Blaylock said.
“Coaches were very open, said I’m their kind of guy, fit the program well and how I’ll learn a lot more than just football if I were to come there.”
Although Blaylock has been committed to the Bruins for months and he’s talked highly of the program, Washington could be a big threat especially after his visit this past weekend.
But there’s no question UCLA could be tough to beat especially as he continues to develop a strong relationship with the new coaching staff.
“Still stand good with UCLA,” Blaylock said. “That’s all I’m going to say.”
The four-star defensive back is only planning other visits to UCLA and possibly Arizona State.
