Josh Calvert has had a busy few weeks as coaches have stopped by Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian and the 2019 standout keeps adding big offers to his list.

Recently, the three-star prospect has landed offers from Tennessee, Arizona State, UCLA and Florida. BYU, Cal, Notre Dame, Oregon State and Utah had already been on Calvert’s offer list.

“A lot of coaches have come through Oaks these past couple of weeks because of the amount of players we have there,” Calvert said.

“So coach (Jim) Benkert would show them my film and talk with them and then they offered so that's how most of them have come in.”

The Bruins could be a particularly interesting team to watch because Calvert’s brother, Bo, signed with them this recruiting cycle. There is also a lot of intrigue when it comes to first-year coach Chip Kelly and the program’s direction.

“UCLA is up there along with other schools and it is always something to think about to have the opportunity to play with my brother again,” Calvert said.

“But I will find the school that is right for me and if it happens to be where Bo is then it would be a great experience but I will not be choosing a school just because my brother is there.”

UCLA is definitely a major contender but it’s still early for the 2019 three-star prospect and Calvert wants to stay open to all options.

“To be honest, I do not have a top school or top list,” Calvert said. “I am open to all the schools right now.”
