As UCF's brand continues to grow on the national level, it has helped open doors on the recruiting trail, including into the Atlanta area. That brand recognition paid off for the Knights in the form of a commitment from three-star quarterback Mike Wright last month. The talented signal-caller picked the Knights over offers from Boston College, Illinois and several others. Since committing, Wright has become an asset to UCF in recruiting as well. Rivals.com caught up with him to talk about his commitment and how he sees himself fitting in once he arrives in Orlando.

IN HIS WORDS

"I was always interested in UCF, from the first day that they told me they were going to start recruiting me. They've changed everything around, changed the culture and once I took a visit and stepped on campus that's when I knew that it was the place for me."

Visit: "I visited the first week of June and we spent an entire day there. We saw everything. The campus tour, went inside classrooms, academic buildings and stuff like that."

Offensive fit: "They have told me that they'll let me be the player that I am now. I'm a playmaker who can sling the ball and put the ball in any place. I can make every throw. They believe that I can do that, I believe that I can do that and I think I'll fit perfectly into their offense. I think they'll let me work. Their plan for me is just like every other quarterback they have, come in and do what you're supposed to do and be successful."

Relationship with current players: "When I was there I hung out with Dillon Gabriel a lot and we're good friends now. We've been texting a lot. He's a real cool dude."

Players he's recruiting to UCF: "I've been talking to a lot of guys and we have some more people on the way. I'm keeping it between me and them right now just to respect their decision. But we for sure have some guys coming. I'm starting to get familiar with the guys in Florida and figure out who I need to talk to. My favorite player is my brother, Alan Wright, he's in the grad below me and I'll have some insight into where he's going to go. He's going to be my biggest recruit if I can pull him in."
