UCF, Mizzou among those after 2021 ATH Semaj James

Class of 2021 Florida athlete Semaj James doesn't live far from Doak Campbell stadium in Tallahassee, but it's not the hometown Noles that are hot on his trail during the early part of his recruitment. Instead, another Sunshine State program, UCF, is showing James some early love. The Knights, along with SEC program Missouri, are two of the earliest programs to join James' growing offer list. Rivals.com caught up with James to talk about the Knights and the Tigers as well as his plans for upcoming visits.

"UCF and Missouri are a few of the schools that have been doing a good job of keeping in touch."

UCF: "They want me to come down and check it out and see the facilities. They are trying to build a relationship with me. I went down there earlier in the year when we had a 7-on-7 tournament in the Orlando area and it was really nice. It's a nice place. It's better than Tallahassee, let me say that. I'm trying to get away from home and that's a nice option. I know I'm going to take a visit there in the fall when they play FAMU."

Missouri: "I'm supposed to be going there for a visit. I like Missouri. The coach that's recruiting me, Coach Walters, he's a real cool dude. You can tell he means business. He doesn't play around. When it's time to work, he wants to work and he means what he's talking about. They have Kelly Bryant coming in to play quarterback and he's tough for real. I think he's going to do some good things this year. I'm looking forward to watching them."

Upcoming visits: "I’m visiting Alabama June 1st and I plan on visiting Florida, LSU and some other schools that have already offered me. I will for sure visit Ole Miss. I picked up the offer this week and I'm already loving the coach that is recruiting me from there, Coach Clark."
