UCF interested in in-state back

Newberry (Fla.) running back Antwan Ivey had nearly 2,000 rushing yards during the 2006 season. That on-field success has led to a couple of programs, including one from Conference USA, to give him early looks.
"I don't have any offers yet," Ivey said. "I think UCF and Bethune-Cookman are supposed to be coming to my spring game to see me. A lot of other schools send me information and stuff like that."

The Golden Knights have Ivey's interest.
"I am very interested in them," he said. "I just know that they need running backs and that's what I am looking at doing because I want to play running back in college."
Ivey thinks there are a number of reasons that he is a legitimate Division I-A running back prospect.
"I would say that I am smart on the field," he said. "I'm quick and can run the ball good."
Ivey rushed for 1,820 yards and 23 touchdowns during his junior season as Newberry advanced to the Class 2B playoffs.
